I replaced the strip light in the garage today, the old one had stopped working (Deb switched it on and nothing happened - Therefore she broke it )

Turned out the starter had disintergrated, instead of replacing the starter I swapped the whole unit with one I 'Found' at work a few years ago.

Nice and bright in there again now

Pulled the old Kenwood radio apart, there was a dry joint on the connector on the main PCB than the removable face fits into, flashed up the soldering iron and fixed that in a jiffy........perhaps I should have looked at this before buying a new wireless

Managed to make a start on removing the remnants of paint on the trike frame, the shot blast gun that Deb bought is a cracking bit of kit, another couple of hours will have it paint and rust free then I can get a few coats of primer on.

Did a bit of flashing! No! Not that sort! Ran some flashband down the bricks on the parapet wall and into the new gutter. A warm dry day is exactly what you need for that job. Maybe just in time as storms are on the way!

Didn't take th rear bumper off to check if th wiring and connectors on th reversing sensors to see if they were not corroded/open ended. All sensors click so Next stop that pesky box in th boot. Borrowed my mates scarifier and got 8 bin bags full of both lawns. Did it twice to make sure. It aerates th soil to and sets th ryzons off to increase root activities. Did a service on said mates mower for free to pay for scarifier loan. His blade needed sharpening to.. It ran beautifully.... If only reversing sensors were as easy to fix..

Teetered about on the top of a ladder, trying not to let the recoil from the pressure washer teach me how to fly backwards, blasting algae and flaking paint off, then two coats of Weathershield on 3½ gable ends… nice job though

I didn't reseal the joints on the conservatory because the sealant i have just recently purchased was solid (with a 2018 expiry date !). I thought that the applicator gun was a bit stiff!

I didn’t do any mechanical work... I could do with fitting rear discs and pads on the tourer and my neighbours 75 has a front broken coil spring. No parts which isn’t a huge problem but no tools at home to crack on and do it, so frustrating!!

Not mine - fitted a new TI/Pierburg UBP to Mrs Noc's Connie, and tidied up the pipework routeing around the battery box.

Not quite as quick a job as I thought as I spent a fair bit of time finding the clamp bolt that pinged off into the engine bay.

I have been thinking of one for my mother, who does about 8-900 miles per year in her 21 year old Clio. A maintainer would be useful - there is a diesel battery from my old Passat in her car, but it will still fail to start maybe once per year.
