ABS Light please help
Hi,
I had my 75 cdti fully serviced and front brakes and pads changed by a member listed on this site. However a few hours later my abs light came on went out and came back sometimes the red brake light came on . Now abs is on permanently. I took it back and he said it is the bearings and they would need changing he was going to call me with a price to be honest I do not want him to touch my car again. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance |

If it's the rear bearing, it normally shows as a grind and ABS pump at low speed when you first gently brake after pulling off. I've never had any problems with the fronts, so I'm not sure on symptoms.
On front pad change, I always change the ABS cable to the pads, maybe that's gone? Easy to change yourself. Do you have a T4 guru who can have a look for you?

Couple more clues ; if it is front right then your speedo won't work , and if it is front left then cruise control won't work
A T4 or even a TOAF setup will point you to the fault . Takes the guesswork out of it
