Cool Hit again......................

................................The Bear has received another scrape.
Parking is a pain around here but I park one on my neighbours drive and t'other on the pavement. Just about to go out to start getting the 'girls' ready for the weekend when there was a knock on the door.

My neighbour from across the way, has a ex- BT White Vauxhall Van, said he was sorry but he had just hit the Bear. (Feel free to put any expletives in).

What!! No!! But yes. The annoying part is about 10 minutes earlier I had been across and put a few bits into the Bear, and had spoke to the same neighbour. Had he asked I would have moved, was going to anyway.

I went across to look at the damage, his van had been parked behind me and I had left loads of room. A nice scrape on bumper going onto wheel arch and along a bit on the wing plus he had also managed to scrape the mirror which had been folded in. Gutted is the best way how I felt. I suppose I was lucky that he had owned up.

So after giving the Bear a wash I had a go at polishing out the scrape. My neighbour even gave me a hand by supplying me with a couple tins of Red Stripe, lousy for polishing but after a couple the car looked better. We got most of it out. He said that he will pay up for any paint needed. We shook hands on the deal.

I said to him, "It was a good job he had not hit Banana". His reply was, "If I had I would have joined a Buddhist Monastery, and taken a vow of silence."
As I'll be at a show tomorrow I'm bound to get some more help to polish it out.

Default Very annoying

Although these things do happen it is nonethe less very annoying. My ZT not lng back from paintshop after an Italian tourist reversed into me in front of my house. Fortunately I was in and heard the bump.

I suppose as long as nobody is hurt....

Doesn't stop it being annoying!

At least he had the common decency to tell you... Saw someone hit another car in the car park recently, got out to check the damage on their own car, then drove off. Needless to say i put a note on the hit car with the offending car's reg and my contact details in case he needed a witness and a picture of the vehicle as it drove off. Had a call from the owner later that day thanking me as the offending owner swore he wasn't even in the car park until the Police informed him that there was damning photographic evidence

What is that piece of extra plastic trim on the edge of the bumper?

Gutted for you Bob, if it had been Banana it would have stood out more, Silver cars can hide the marks better
