If drunk or fleeing from police, what is the insurance companies position on paying out?
I presume they pay the 3rd parties but what about their client?

I believe their insurance is void but not sure if it would cover 3rd party claim.

I'm hoping the driver was arrested?

Edit: that is they were insured of Coarse.

He was arrested, seemed too dazed to run away, police turned up 15 mins later,he sat in back of police car for about an hr,then he made a run for it,soon caught. Luckily it was raining and no pedestrians walking about involved as this was on main road through town.

It would depend on the wording of the policy, the usual scenario is that the insurance company would only meet any 3rd party claims, and often then claim that from the policy holder.

There certainly are some frightening and ghastly people among us.
The fact that one's children and grandchildren may be travelling on the same roads is almost unbearable. As for me, I resent sharing the same air.
