The missus has just pegged out a load of laundry after I said it's forecast to rain from 10:00am onwards.

Late brekkie today, I'm having a change today.

Bon Appétit, Ian good morning and welcome to the day, any plans ?

She Who Must Be Obeyed has ordered me out of bed! they know best

As part of my recovery, I have been catching up with some photo editing. Seeing the photo Thomas posted up of a blue sky, prompted me to revisit Yorkshire. Here is a photo I took in 2013 of Saltburn By The Sea, a nautical scene....edited in HDR to boost the light and everything.

The UK is spoilt for views and beautiful locations, we just need the weather to visit them all

Morning Phil, I hope you're feeling better. I'm mowing the grass and awaiting a new LED PIR security light to arrive by hermes, the old one had a dodgy pir sensor & came on whenever it felt like it so I'll be up the ladders doing that job.
Lovely atmospheric fishing village picture

G'day Phil - I'm pleased it's not just me that gets ordered out of bed

Love what you've done with that photo - please forgive me for correcting you, but that's Staithes (pronounced locally as "Steers") - not Saltburn
I think you probably shot it from the little footbridge across the river?
It's changed nowadays, but once upon a time, a large percentage of the families living in Steers were all called Verrill.
Capt. James Cook the explorer spent some of his youth in the village, as an apprentice grocer and draper. It is thought that the everyday exposure to the sea gave him his appetite for sailing the world as an explorer.
