I sometimes notice my 75 has turned on its parking/side lights; sometime later they have gone off again. Does this suggest a faulty LSM and should I investigate? - It's done it for a couple of years but the lights never stay on for more than a couple of hours.

Sorry Sonic ZS, no my car did not have a tow bar fitted. I got back from holiday about 18.30 yesterday could not bring myself to look at the car till 18.00 today. The insurance company cheque came today, don't think I will buy another 75 just yet as we still have two in the family they will keep me busy. About a year ago the windscreen was replaced just after I did notice some water in the foot well but only the once . I wonder if condensation can build up in the facia ducting and leak out as I had been using the aircon earlier in the day. Maybe we could put some kind of membrane over the LSM to make sure it stays dry.

Sorry to read of this happening Ed, thankfully you are all ok.

Will you get another 75/ZT?

Like others have said, this is the first time I've heard of this happening, and I've been a member hear for over 10 years.

Id also like to add this. Caused by using to much air con cleaner that eventually dripped from air vent on to LSM...

I took my LSM out today to check its condition. Fortunately all the contacts were clean and looked like new. The PCB inside was also virtually dust free.

Thanks to everyone for your comments on this unfortunate situation. Still driving a rover 75 every day for work but the wife wants her car back. I said that I would not be buying another 75 but now I've calmed down I am looking at the ads again.
