Default wanted a safe CDA to mp3 convertor

looking to get a free safe cda to mp3 convertor. Recommendations are normally good to go with so can you suggest one.

The one I went to download flagged up with my anti virus as not safe.

I dont know what you went to download, but I know my AV would more often than not, flag up false positives on program files - so I wonder if this is simply the case? Even VLC used to cause false positives on my AV!

Talking of which, I believe VLC can convert CD files. I havent done it for about 15 years now Since Nero 5 (which did it). My father though uses windows media player to rip his discs to mp3. (I assume you have the original discs? cda files are not audio files, and do not contain audio)

*ahem* more legal for you to rip a single copy (for back up purposes) whilst you still own the cd. and delete once you sell it

Windows media player has a built in CD ripper, in settings just change it from default WMA to MP3.
