If your loom is same as mine and you have the grey and brown iso connected to Symphony. The steering wires are pin 2 & 3 on the grey connector. Blue/orange and Blue /Purple. In the how too section thread by Duotone called Harmony to Symphony has good pics. I'm wiring mine tomorrow and will tell you if they work.

I was on the steering control app earlier and could not find start or end button, maybe because the wires are not connected.

I don't have exactly the same colours in the car's loom for the SWCs, but do have a blue/purple. Do you have a screenshot of the setup screen, as I don't recall seeing a Start button?

Many thanks

You may have your wires connected correctly, you just need to program your SWC buttons.

Guys! to setup your steering wheel controls just perform the following, otherwise your controls will not work.

1: Just go into the app-draw, its the middle app on bottom row (has 4 square colours on it).
Forgive the FORD logo, photo taken in SWMBO Galaxy.

2: Look for your Steering Wheel Control app (picture of a steering wheel). If you press and hold the app, you can place it on your home screen.

3: Select the app, you will be greeted with a grid of options, you can set your car SWC (buttons) to perform any one of the actions.

4: First select 'Start' (bottom left corner), the block will turn yellow.

5: Make your first selection on screen, then press the desired button on your steering wheel to link the chosen action (do this for all SWC buttons).

6: Once finished, select 'End' its the same block as 'Start' you will see it has now changed to 'End'.

7: Job Done.

Woo! Hoo! you owe me a pint.

Also! if anyone wants to update the ES File Explorer, its most certainly recommended as the new version is 100 times better.

1: Just go into 'Settings' and select 'Apps'.

2: Scroll down until you see the 'ES File Explorere' app.

3: Select 'Uninstall'

4: Now make sure you have Wifi on and connected to you home network (your router).

5: Now select the 'PlayStore' app and type in 'ES File Explorer' in the search bar.

6: Select 'Download', this now gives you a fresh install.

The new version is more user friendly, helps you to search your files, a bit like when using a PC.

Thanks for this, think I had a blind moment and as the start and end buttons are part of the grid I missed them. Hope to get them working today.

Following advice on here I now have it fitted nicely in the dash. It is a pig of a thing to get sat right in the fascia but once in looks good enough. Steering controls now working fine and my aerial adapter came and has been fitted, radio works well. I have used the GPS test app and the GPS is working fine.

However I do have a problem with mine that others have not encountered, it keeps dropping WiFi signal even when less than a foot from window next to hub. Not end of the world but I can't download mapfactor maps as it drops signal during download. I've read up and it's been mentioned that this is a known problem on some, the following page is useful

http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki...Create_AN-21_U

May be wrong but I think these are the manufacturer and it's Rungrace branded, I am going to order a WiFi dongle and see if it sorts the problem out, will post results.

Interesting, im going to try sonething like this as apparantly it has same chipset and should work straight out the box:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/D-Link-DWA-1...%257Ciid%253A1

Will post if it works or not, its a pain but im sure a workaround can be found.
