Y Reg Wedgwood Blue - Dumped?
A very clean and tidy Wedgwood Blue 75 (with Serpents) has been in the same place on the central reservation on the road near my house for several days and seems to be abandoned
Y672 USD. Its not parked straight, and has been there for 6 or 7 days. There are no signs of damage (yet) although given time and the neighborhood intelligentsia, it won't be long. Such a nice car. Wonder if its been stolen and abandoned? Andy

That reg is not far from mine. I've got 716. Wonder if it came from the same dealer.

This is the 3rd car in a couple of weeks & one of the others is/was a 75 too!
First of all it should be reported to the police as it may have been stolen. I think you can contact the council & I think after 28 days you can take it! |

Copied from another forum...
Abandoned cars – how to apply for ownership How to go about it: Firstly call the Police first to check the car has not been involved in criminal activity, and mention it has been left as though it were abandoned. If clean, go to the post office and apply for the V5, via the V62 form. Previously free, you now need to pay DVLA £20. The form is also downloadable on-line. On receipt, the DVLA will write to the previous registered keeper informing them that someone is trying to re-register the vehicle and if that’s OK with them. If (and only if) the registered owner does not object, you will be issued with a V5 log book. Clearly you cannot technically move the car prior to being allocated a V5, since the owner could say ‘I want it’ and by default you’d be in the possession of a stolen car. However some will say move the car first to avoid it being vandalized etc. This is very inadvisable. Timescale between applying for V5 via V62 and actually receiving it – unknown. Anyone? Get the V5 applied for then ker-ching!! |

Worth a go. Even if all you get from it is spares it'll be worth the effort.

Having the V5 doesn't confer ownership, though does it?
It would still belong to the owner, even though you have become the registered keeper. How would this be solved? |
