Default Mg ZTT diesel stopped ?

Hello
Looking for help re my 2004 ZT-T 2.0 CDTI which stopped whilst ticking over. A usual check of everything has been carried out from faulty Maf ,egr valve, leaking or faulty injector. Two mechanics have failed to get her started over 2 months. The Hp fuel injection pump was replaced with a reconditioned one as it was diagnosed with low pressure coming from it. The other fuel pumps were diagnosed as being fine. The car still fails to start. I'm looking for a good Mg/Rover mechanic in N.Ireland to sort me if possible. The car is too good to scrap. Would consider a new engine if I get the right help
Thanks

What exactly happens when you turn the key please?.

Will it start with easy start?

Have you checked both cam and crank sensors?

if you take the pipe off the under bonnet pump and turn the ignition key does fuel spurt out?

Any indications of the ECU getting wet? i.e. plenum flooding?

We could do with more info please..

Doubt it will be engine (though I have two for sale ) Check underbonnet pump again, these are usually the culprits as long as your injectors are not leaking back (Nip leakback pipes while trying to start - see if she fires up)

If it runs when started using easy start, then most likely is you have a fuel supply problem. Not sure, but it not being able to rev could be a MAF related issue as well, hopefully an elec guru will help on that. But try unplugging it anyway.

What pressure did your mechanics get when they tested the common rail? (HP pump failure is quite rare)..

Most common cause of starting issues (having rules out the sensors by starting with easy start) is a leaking injector innit...

These guys should be close enough to you.
T. Devlin Ltd. Rover & Mini Specialist, 117 Staffordstown Road, Randalstown, Co. Antrim. T: 04894472537; F: 04894472072.

I have never had experience with them though, cause I'm only new on here, and they're a bit far for me.
