Get a set of viton "O" rings for the cap just to rule it out, only four quid on Ebay.

Thermostat assembly O rings. Thermostat assembly straight pipe. Expansion chamber cap. Radiator. Plastic elbows on radiator. Inlet manifold gaskets. Failure of any hose.
After that your into the items that "always" fail but in fact very rarely seem to do so (Water pump, Oil cooler). As already suggested, arm yourself with a dentists mirror or similar to see round corners and a nice bright torch. Remember also that although water normally travels downwards via the path of least resistance, small quantities quite willingly cling to curved surfaces before gravity takes over again.
