ZCS Codes
Could anyone let me have a copy of the spreadsheet used to work out ZCS codes, I have a 1.8 SE with a few retrofitted parts and I want to check against the readout from my BCU as well as see if there's anything else I can add.

What are you using to read the coding, and more to the point what would you be using to change the revised ZCS coding. It's not quite as simple as it seems Brian |

Thanks Brian I'll read it in the morning, I have the BMW scanner to read it, but have nothing to re-write them if wrong. I have recently had rain sensing wipers enabled and ultrasonic module too. The wipers still refuse to detect rain despite three different sensors. The optical part was new about six months ago when I had the windscreen replaced. It could still be a sensor as they were all second hand or my wiring but I'd like to check the coding for peace of mind.

I wish it was that simple, they are still working as intermittent. Tried turning them off then back on to intermittent during recent rain so the car was in motion but regardless of the amount of rain they still appeared to operate on the timer. They should stop completely when it's dry shouldn't they? Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

I only asked because when I had this car I thought they weren't working until I read the manual and found that they had to be on intermittent for the rain sensing to work |

The sensor works without ZCS codes being changed, but I believe that if it is added then the car can do diagnostic checks on the sensor and detect faults etc. I also have the same issue with the rain sensor - when I did a trial fit of the sensor, it behaved as if it wasn't there. Phil told me that I had the wrong rain sensor coding.
