Default question for members with FrenchMike FBH remote

Anyone with a FrenchMike FBH remote mounted installed behind the glove box?

I had issues with the mobile I was using when in the engine bay (battery box) I think it was related to heat cycling. Anyway I have move the box to behind the glove box & rewired. Tested ok in the drive, but, when I take the car out onto the road the FBH starts up??
Control pb switch is in the winter position with blue LED illuminated, but about 5 mins of driving and the blue led goes out & the FBH starts up.

I've used the car for 3 days to & from work with the pb 'off' and the FBH has not started. So I'm thinking there is a possible source of microwaves behind the glove box.??

(hope that all makes sense)

Has anyone installed their FM box behind the glove box & without issues?

Might it be that as it's colder outside (certainly is in Scotland!), the normal mode of operation for the FBH has kicked in, i.e. the temperature sensor has kicked in as it's below 5C or thereabouts?

Just a thought!

Hi Derek

No temps here are still in the 8-10deg C here so unfortunately that's not the source of my issue.

Thanks for the thought, they all help

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.
