Lightbulb Well I'll be Hornswaggled

After many years chasing my boot leak, fixing, sealing hair pulling etc, I think I've finally found the source Whilst visiting Stu(Fusilier) a while back, he noticed a little split in my rear window trim, so, further investigation & a judicial amount of Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure, It seems to have stopped the leak
The offending hole

It is simply quite brilliant stuff. 100% recommend it.

Used extensively by caravanners and boat owners - makes a watertight flexible seal. Just run the milkyblue liquid along a seam and if the liquid disappears into the crack - go back and run the nozzle down it again - and again if necessary - until the liquid sits on top of the crack rather than deep inside it by capillary action.

The milky blue liquid dries to a near invisible clear seal.

It really is excellent stuff.

Where did the water appear in the boot, mine is coming from a plate near the passenger side hinge. It's obviously coming in elsewhere and running down but this is where it shows up. Fully sympathise with the frustration.

Same, passenger side hinge. Even went as far as removing hinge bolts & smearing the threads with silicone before refitting Seems to run down the inner skin, along the side & drips from there So it was my side trim clips
