Default Weekend weather!

I realize some members do not like the Express but quotes on this link by the Met Office can`t be made up.
Anyway be careful with your weekend planning:

Also don`t forget the app Ventusky, I love this app:

I refuse to take any any storm seriously with the name Deirdre. Will the next one be called Ken?
Apologies to any members named Ken. Or Deirdre.
Sorry Ken, only just realised you are the original poster. Wasn't having a dig at you, or your name.

Ken.
I have no axe to grind with the Express, but aren't they the same newspaper who, every year, forecast continuous snow from mid November 'til the end of March?
Certainly, there is some stormy weather lined up for the coming weekend, but use of the words "brutal", "unleash hell", "weekend assault" seems to be a wee bit more dramatic than what a Met. Office spokesperson said:-
“However what we can say at the moment is that we are looking at a very unsettled spell of weather from the end of the week and through the weekend. The emphasis will be on the winds and we could see gales or severe gales in the worst affected regions, we will know more a bit later in the week."

I'll batten down the hatches anyway - just to be safe

Express weather 'reporting'.
One of their contributing experts is a guy called James Madden, a sole trader with no known meteorological qualifications that calls himself Exactaweather, his business email is a gmail account, his website looks like Saul Goodman designed it, and yet a national newspaper prints (and one would assume pays for) his advice.

And Nathan 'jackanory' Rao, what a disgrace to journalism.
