ZT-T 190 oil light
Turned the ignition on theZT-T this morning and noticed the oil warning light was very dim, went out in it to do essential shopping.
When I started it at the shops to come home noticed the oil light didn't illuminate at all, checked when I got home, still doesn't light up even after a few minutes standing. Is this most likely to be the oil pressure switch, or LED on the dash? Where is the oil pressure switch located on a V6? Once the engine cools down i will disconnect the wire and earth it out, should indicate whether it is switch or LED. Last edited by bsafly; 2nd March 2021 at 14:43.. Reason: Photo |

Just been out to the car and located the oil pressure switch, disconnected the connector and earthed the wire, turned the ignition on and the oil pressure warning light worked - must be the switch i thought.
Reconnected the connector and the warning light illuminated! Started the engine - light went out. Turned off the engine, turned on the ignition and the warning light came on as normal Checked several times and it's operating as expected. I will have to assume a dirty connection at the switch was the cause, but I will monitor it just incase it was some other electrical gremlin. |
