Default V6 saloon auto rear springs?

Hi folks,

I have a broken rear coil spring.

Checked the sticker under the rear seat and the rear springs are "RC" which should mean the springs have a red paint dab on them.

I've found two different part numbers and I aren't sure why.

RC red are rkb101220slp
I've also noted people with RC red noting part number rkb101430

Is this something to do with project drive? Our 75 is a 2003

Thanks
Rob

Rob,

I've just looked on Rimmer's site and 101430 has been superseeded by 101220.
So either go with that or e-mail your VIN to [email protected] and they will find the correct spring for you from the EPG. X-part is now under the ownership of a Birmingham based automotive parts business and I have found the staff there to be extremely helpful.

When one of mine was broken when I bought it, I got on Autodoc website, and got two Sachs rear springs from them. I measured the thickness of the spring with my micrometer and the steel thickness was .001 different. Nothing really. When fitted the height was the same on both sides of the car when measured through the middle of the wheel Centre to the wheel arch. Still the same now. I recommend Autodoc as I have used them over a few years.

Xpart cannot quote spring part numbers from a VIN.
Various suspensions were offered when new. However, I will look into it for you.
