Default High pressure diesel pump not working

Where is the high pressure diesl pump fitted on my mgzt 135

Front left side of engine, just below the inlet manifold. Why do you think it's not working? They are very reliable, the usual fault is leaking seals, a cheap and not overly difficult repair,

If it is not working, then I presume the car does not start?
