Sad, I now I'd find it hard to deal with. Haven't had any direct experience but I know what the old boy next door went through before his wife (dementia) went into a care home.

As Andy says, make sure everything is in order (including power of attorney), Social Services may be able to offer advice.

Already have p o a for both finance and health care; I don't know if she didn't know who I was or didn't know the right words to say. Either way I struggled to keep it together.

Morning all from a cloudy and overcast Nairobi, the sun is expected at 10 a.m and 26C. Richard, all the best for today. If you haven’t already done so, can you please alert the nursing staff key worker for your mum of your concerns (ring them up) before the ward round starts and a decision on discharge is made. In other words: pre-empt the discharge plan. Chin up .....positive thoughts

Thank you very much Richard for sorting out the mustard, went off rather well

Yesterday I was out doing essential shopping and visiting the forest checking on the fences and bird life. Jessica has been doing yoga and swimming every day to strengthen her back. This morning, I am sanding the skirting before fixing it to the wall of the new extension. One more coat of paint on the roof facia boards, then reattach the CCTV, nothing exciting.

Time for a cuppa

Morning Phil, morning all

Looks set to be another dry and sunny day. A bit nippy though!

Picked up a lovely brass ships clock and barometer at the boat jumble yesterday.

I’ll post up a picture of it later .

Cooking roast chicken for supper tonight

Cool

Morning everyone.

More blue sky this morning.

Today we are venturing further out with Banana. The plan is to drive up to Matt Darkes for him to plug his T4 into Banana. Matt is going to sort out the non starting issue, hopefully. I still have the pm’s from MarinaBrian outlining the possible faults.

There are a few other issues that need to be rectified and I’m hoping Matt can get these sorted out today.

Morning Jeff, I didn’t realise the boating world has jumble sales. You grabbed some bargains, the clock and barometer.

How is the cat world, do you still get to the cat rescue?

Looking forward to seeing your photos: seafaring, cruising, cats and anything else you want to share.

Morning all.

The sun is out in a blue sky with just a few white, fluffy clouds.

About to finally try out the cleaned out snow foam bottle. Why does tedious, normal, routine chores type stuff always get in the way of having some fun .

Aaaarrrggghhh. Mr Grey Squirrel has just arrived and is helping himself to the bird food. Time for the secret weapon to be released. I'm sure he'll love to meet a golden 4 legged furry missile hurtling out of the door .

Take care.
