That's the first few spots of rain arriving. Washing off the line and into the dryer to finish off.

It's forecast rain tomorrow here, the garden could do with it & definitely the heather moorland atop of us, It must be dry now with no proper rain for over two weeks, I've been in the greenhouses putting the twine up ready for when the tomato plants are ready for planting into the beds to climb up.

Really bad/slow germination of vegetable & flower seeds this year or some reason (all in-date seed) I've even bought different composts & re-sown all the seeds again with the same poor results, The three varieties of bell peppers I sowed have zero germination

I've had to order some sweet bell pepper plug plants off ebay as there's not going to be enough season left otherwise.

Evening all; been to hospital again tonight, mum was sitting in her chair when I arrived eating her tea..............with a pen. She said its quite difficult to get the hang of this, and when I looked she was trying to feed herself using a pen. I took it off her and handed her the fork, she seems content but doesn't realise she is in hospital although she remembered my name when asked tonight. It seems the u t i and chest infection have accelerated the dementia forward in a giant leap overnight. The damage will probably be irreversible so waiting to hear what they decide tomorrow. She is not safe to go home without 24 7 care as she has lost the ability to think for herself and needs reminding to get up eat take medication and get into bed. Ás for toileting you may as well expect a baby to change its own nappy.

Hi Rich,

Sorry to hear of your Mum’s health issues.
The only thing I can add is that when Ivy had UTI’s she acted confused, talked a lot of nonsense and was unaware of her surroundings . However, once the antibiotics had cleared the infection she would become coherent and pretty much back to normal in her mental state.

Can’t say that is the same for everyone but don’t lose hope.
If you want that chat I’m not at work today so will be around.
