That was weird. The Woodpecker was eating seeds on the birdfeeder then it flew across to the window, gripped a vertical part of the frame and started tapping on the glass. It bugrd off because Maya went absolutely mental at it! Had small birds tapping on the window before, usually when the feeders are empty "Oi, there's no food out here!" but never seen the Woodpecker do that.

There's seeds in all the feeders, it had been on the feeder stuffing itself for several minutes before it flew over . . . . maybe it wanted a Rennie

Don't even try Rich, there's too many of them and would need to be some kind of Ninja marksman to be in with a chance they're so twitchy, slightest hint of movement and they're offski!

I've just watched a fascinating documentary I recorded on BBC Scotland the other night, "Killing Escobar", about a group of mercenaries hired by a rival drug cartel in Columbia to kill Pablo Escobar. The reason it was on BBC Scotland was the leader of the group was from Glasgow. I'd never heard the story before, thoroughly captivating watch. It was planned to the last detail and had every chance of success but one of the two helicopters crashed in the Andes in low cloud en route to carry out the mission.

I don't know if its been shown south of the border but I'd recommend it, Its on Iplayer and catch up on Sky.

Morning all,

What a change to wake up to double figure temperatures

Today is the start of the new British Touring Car Championship season and also the Spanish F1 Grand Prix.
That’s me sorted for the day then

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams
