No hot air
I've noticed that the heat available in the car is a lot less than it used to be. According to my Intravee the coolant temperature is usually around 90C. Looking at older threads this seems to be a blocked heater matrix, is there a recommended way to flush it out?

Get an OBAC. They can generate a lot of hot air in quick time !

Assuming there's no air in the cooling system (which often ends up in the heater matrix), then a reverse flush may improve things. My advice is not to attempt splitting the metal hoses hear the heater, but to split the in/out hoses at the firewall. I believe they're marked 'in' ond 'out'. With the hose ends free, apply domestic hosepipe pressure to the 'out' hose and see if you can remove any debris. The system must be bled correctly afterwards.

Turned out to be air in the heater matrix. I flushed it through but there was nothing but a good flow of clean water. I'd taken the hoses off at the engine and clamped them after flushing to make bleeding easier. Nice and hot now ready for summer!
