Default Tibute acts and bands

I have seen a few tribute acts and bands, some are very good, others less so.
Went to see a Neil Diamond tribute last night. Sounded like a karaoke on a Friday night at the pub having drunk to much. Right from the first word my jaw dropped in horror.
We left at half time as did some others. We talking to a mum and may be her daughter, we had quite a laugh about how bad it was.

Book ends do Simon and Garfunkel, very good
Helen Ward Jackson does Adel, very good

Anyone seen ColdPlace doing Cold Play, any good?

Not seen ColdPlace but have seen Viva La Coldplay & they are good. Nothing worse than an act like the Neil Diamond experience you endured.

A couple of good ones to look out for are The Reckless -- Bryan Adams(really good) & Tallon -- The Eagles (superb)

Regards

Paul

I've seen Think Floyd. Simply outstanding. Go see them.
Hells Bells, ACDC tribute. Very good again.
Went to see ABBA and Bee Gees tribute same night in Stroud. Shocking to be blunt. Should have walked out.
Another great night was in Liverpool seeing Bootleg Beatles. Brilliant. Did all the years and you would have thought it was the real thing.

Drove to paris last year with my son to see coldplay live, brilliant. He had been to Cardiff that week and seen them, brought some footage home and I was hooked. Spur of the moment booking for me.

Easy drive, main roads all the way to perhaps within 1/2 mile of the stadium

Seen Hells Belles & have to agree very good. Personally I think AB/CD are better, but they are a local band so maybe a bit biased

Nice one.

Liked the early Coldplay stuff & musically a superb band but don't do it for me these days.

That's the wonderful thing about music. There's no such thing as bad music
--- Just some you prefer. I Never knock any form of music (well maybe some of the Krappy Rappy stuff)

Glory Days - Springsteen are brilliant & I'm a Major Boss fan & there's a guy around called Deanno who does a very good Phil Collins.

Regards

Paul

Seen the Bootleg Beatles a number of times, an amazing band that really are worth seeing.

A few years back, we visited Liverpool when the Mathew Street Festival was on. There were a good number of tribute acts doing free gigs all around the city, and we got to see a set by a band called "God Save The Queen". They were an Argentinian Queen tribute act, and were jaw droppingly good.

That's 2 of you seen The Bootleg Beatles

Never really been an act I wanted to see (not they're not good just that I was more for the Stones back in the day & having seen the real thing never bothered with a tribute as they just wouldn't be the same.

Regards

We were in Phuket, Thailand a few years ago and Mr Prakhatoon, the local Elvis impersonator was doing his swansong final performance ever. Halfway into our holiday, and full of "pop", we thought "why not?" Glad we went- he was so awful he was hilarious. Even had a speech impediment and did " wock awound the cwock" and " wuv me tender".
Cacked ourselves laughing. I kid you not.......

Worst one I've seen was a Cher tribute that turned out to be a drag act who's voice was deeper than my pockets have to be when my wifes on a shopping bender
