Default The cost of a gallon of petrol

This is grim reading

Diesel £1.81 a litre (depending on where you buy)
4.5 litres to a gallon.

1.81 x 4.5 = £8.15 a gallon.

My closest station is showing £1.93 for a litre of diesel and £1.91 for E10 petrol (mind you, it is consistently the most expensive station in my area). How soon until that number is over £2? I have also recently noticed myself thinking that anything below £1.70 is a really good price...

Cool

That was another reason for me selling the Bear, my V8 ZTT 400. When i attended the Frimley breakfast meet it was a round trip of 380 miles. I had to fill up to get there and fill up to get home. Those with a nervous twitch look away now.

Cost £130.

Oh! But the noise was worth it.

I was plucking up the courage to drive the 260 to my brother in laws in Moniaive. Round trip is 1000 miles. Just heard they are moving to Spain. Might be cheaper now to fly over there now.

My local station was 173.9 for petrol and 176.9 for diesel this morning just checked prices as I need to brim mine so will now cost about £6 extra to fuel it. Getting ridiculous I use anything from 2-2.5 tanks per month just for work. I’ll check the other station shortly although for the last few days it’s been 14p more expensive than the jet station.

Here this morning put £60 in at £1.799 a litre this afternoon put another £75 in had gone up to £1.899 a litre i am hoping it will start to come down again soon as people just cannot afford to pay these prices and the knock on effect of transport cost will be passed on through everything

I wonder if we the public were to boycott a major chain of filling stations if they would lower their prices?
