Default Hydromount past its best.

Well we had a great day at the National meet at Gretna, but I noticed that the engine hydromount was weeping when I opened the bonnet.

When we got home I ordered a new one from DMGRS and yesterday I got round to fitting it. Not a tricky job, but getting the remains of the old mount out was a struggle. I don't have the special tool and trying to get a chan wrench round it wasn't happening in the available space.

In the end I had a brainwave and after leaving the threads soaking for an hour or so in GT 85, I removed the wheel and dropped the wheel arch liner down. This meant I could get the chain wrench on and get some decent purchase on it and the mount came out with no struggle at all. I wish I'd thought of it earlier.

As you can see, it was a bit past its best.
