Query about Mk1 for sale in latest MG E mag
I see there's an Anthracite Mk1 SE for sale that seems to be near me (dial code is 01606) and is listed for sale in latest MG Enthusiast magazine.
It has 26500 miles, and is listed at £12 500. Is this a reasonable price? I prefer the Mk1 style so it ios tempting to look at it esp as I now do less than 8k miles a year. However, I have just spent the best part of £1500 on my 160 on the big 90K service with new tyres and cooling fan, and I don't expect I would get more than about £4k privately selling mine. Any thoughts? Is the Mk1 260 SE a reliable car? What are the known problems if any? TIA |

Hello Martin
So was it my nagging . I've been reading the work you have had done recently on your 160 and wondered if this would be the turning point. This thread will help you http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=1645 Knowing your skills I have no doubt that you will find the car no problem. We're looking at fixes for the minor issues so as time goes by the car gets better support. There are cheaper cars around so I would look. Andy Philips is looking to sell his for 8ish. BRG mk1.

Thanks, Tim.
Interesting read, and as I have one of the original more firmly sprung ZTs I guess I won't notice a ride quality loss! BTW the price is £12 995 and it is car ~082. |
