Squeaking/squealing noise from drivers side front wheel.
The last few weeks I've had a squeaking noise that comes from the front wheel once the car is warmed up and gets faster in time with the wheels.
Upon investigation I've found this split rubber as per the photo and a leak of what I presume is power steering fluid. Would that be causing this? Thanks in advance. https://www.flickr.com/photos/189078...3/50049877943/ Last edited by LordThomas; 28th June 2020 at 08:29.. |

I've corrected the link on the photo but suspect that is an additional issue .It might be a brake problem as the noise only starts once the car is warm and gets faster as the wheels turn.

As for the OSF noise at road speed, with the car warmed up raise the wheel off the ground and spin it by hand. That should help you identify the source of the noise. The sliding brake caliper might need cleaning and lubricating but there's nothing much to be gained by guessing. It's a case of get in there and put your spectacles on! Simon
