Default Rover 75 Mk1 1.8 Saloon - Front Subframe Braces

It seems so very enticing. Just 2 bolts each and I can get the front subframe braces off for a bit of TLC before the brown stuff takes over. But can I simply take them off a jacked up (and supported) car without all the front sub-frame moving out of alignment - and me wishing I'd never bothered?

Did mine a few year ago, no problems at all, bolt off, clean, paint, bolt on.

Yes, I did mine a couple of weeks ago.

They looked a lot worse than they actually were.

Wire brushed, Fertan rust treatment, red oxide and chassis black. Oh, and some black wax to finish.

Again no problems with removing to paint , I have also removed both the front and rear subframe bolts , treated and cleaned up the washers as they aren't available any more and tend to take the weather
Removing one at a time will not affect the alignment of the subframe
