Retrofitting this mirror?
I read this how-to: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=36634
And decided I want one too :P. So I found a breaker who had one and I bought it. But my mirror looks different then the mirror from the how-to and it also had much more wiring. Is this the wrong mirror? Does anybody know what wires go where and such? I've got no clue how to get this working with my car. (my car hasn't got the loom but I was going to make my own wires, just like in the how-to).

It looks like the Connector has got half the other connector with it
CTB100220 is a 75/ZT or early Range Rover one....

Well, the connector isn't very important. Since I don't have the wiring in place, I'm gonna make my own.
But in the how-to, it only shows 3 wires, this mirror has 7 wires, and I've no clue which wire should connect to what. From the how-to I know the mirror needs a live 12v, a switched 12v and a ground. But I don't know what the other 4 wires are for and/or what they do. I don't even know if I need all of them (and if not, which ones I need or not...)

Watching with interest as my mirror is the same, has to many wires compared to the 'How To'
I do have the wiring harness with mine, but obviously the plug in the A pillar only has Minimum wires and my mirror loom has many more.

Mirror
Im not sure but maybe you have the mirrir with a compass reading in the bottom right hand corner when connected up this would account for the extra wires maybe?

I just fitted the compass mirror and the only wires you need are red grey and brown. The others you dont need.

On the top (around the center) is a little hole for the light sensor, there is also one on the back (facing the windscreen when installed). The wires I have are: Brown, Green, White with black stripe, Grey, Red, White, Black. I searched for a way to open the case of the mirror, so I can see the circuit board, that would help a lot probably. But I haven't been able to open it....

I have looked at the How To retrofit an auto dimming mirror, and that just shows three wires from mirror, now is this a case of it only had three? or were the other wires discarded? Not really clear on that, think I will PM the person that posted the thread.
