Rear Exhaust for Rover 75 KV6 Auto
Just thought I’d give an update on my exhaust back box quandary.
I always find it sad when a question is posted, there’s loads of freely given advice and you never get to hear what resolved the problem. Anyway I obtained a Klarius back box off EBay for £43.96 (bargain_autoparts, no connection to me). It was ordered on Friday afternoon, sent FOC via Parcelforce and I watched in amazement on Monday morning as the guy staggered up the garden path carrying something the size of a Fiat 500!! My local garage fitted it for me, cutting off the old box fitting a new clamp and rubbers for £50.00 (inc VAT). The old part had rotted halfway round the pipe going into the back box (a fairly impressive hole). They even saved me the old exhaust bracket/strap as it was in really good condition. Net result, I got old my car back, quiet, responsive and no dodgy smells into the inside of the car. So, happy bunny time. I would just like to say though that it was all made easier by the input from those who answered my initial post. Thank you all. |

KV6 Rear Silencer
I'd be interested in an update from Brian on the item he's fitting, and to know the source of it? It looks from the picture that it might be stainless steel?
