You need to ensure they are perfectly sealed, rubber covers fitted correctly, and no cracks in the plastic anywhere (Would be easier taking them out to check)

Unless they are sealed correctly, you will not get rid of the condensation.

I would say take one of the rubber covers off & drive around for a bit to dry them out, & possibly throw one of those little silica bags in

Great idea Ron. Maybe glue one of those flat silicon bags to the inside of the rubber covers.

Think yourself lucky that it's only condensation. When I first bought my 2.5 I got it home and discovered there were snails living in the O/S headlamp unit. They'd obviously got in when they were small and were now too big to get out. Being a big softy my first task was to swap the headlamp unit so I could dismantle it and let them out!

Just changed a headlight bulb in mine today. That's the third bulb to go in 15 years.----

you can always remove the rubber cover and blow in warm air from a hair dryer, but it will only be a temp fix until you solve the issue

Considerably more patient that me. I would have chopped the car in when it let go the second time.

Default Fogging H/Lights

Many years ago now, i owned a Manta GTE , whose headlights kept fogging up.

A friend of mine , who at the time was something of a 'Manta Offficianado', took out the headlights and very carefully , using a reasonably small drill bit, drilled one hole on the underside of each of the headlights.
Underside is important , so any condensation or droplets fall out - but more importantly, by drilling two small holes ( one each side ) it 'equalises' the air pressure and prevents any condensation.

After the holes were drilled, it never fogged again !

Worth looking into, but take more advice on this first from those in the club who are in the know.

I would suggest you PM 'BigRuss' on this, what he doesn't know about these cars isn't worth knowing.

Good luck,

John.
