Hi,
I have the same problem, the FBH didn't work but has recently started to 'work' with LOADS of could of white smoke (looks like a 1970's Top Of The Tops episode).

Where did you get the service kit from and are there instructions with it?

Are there any potential issues with running with the FBH ruse removed?

See Devilish’s post no 9. No problem with fuse removed.

FBH 20amp Fuse :

As above removing the fuse causes no issues, so do it until you get this resolved

Service kit here:

Decoke:

The heaters should be serviced every 12 months but rarely are and most are only looked at when something goes wrong, they get coked up and can then cause the white smoke, this was taken from a very badly coked up FBH a few weeks ago:

It should look like this:

Dismantling Instructions here( not in English but great visuals , plenty other videos on you tube if you search )

Thanks a lot, it seems quite straight forward, I'll leave it disconnected until the weather gets warmer.

Regards,
Neil.
