Although post one says no lights are on, is the boot light on? I ask as this may not be visible if a saloon.

The boot light times out if left on Ian, same as the interior lights.

This morning I checked if there was a significant draw from the battery with everything closed down. So I put a multimeter between the negative cable and the battery and measured 2,2 A, which is not OK?. I checked the fuses in the engine box and didn´t detect any voltage drop, but I didn´t check the 150 A fuse. I hesitated to do that, but I suppose you can loosen that one by loosening the two bolts?
I put the battery on the loader now, it's practically dead, no use testing. I will do all this again tomorrow, check the measurements again/
1) When measuring the current between negative cable and the battery, you need to allow time for everything to settle down into standby before noting the current. And you need a constant connection. The moment you make the connection, everything in the car will wake up as it powers up.
You need to wait until the red LEDs in the wing mirror buttons turn off, then everything may have settled into standby.
2) If you are measuring the current between negative cable and the battery, presumably you have the bonnet up. Would I be right in thinking that that may prevent everything from going into standby ?
Anybody know ?

Anybody know if having the bonnet up prevents the BCU (?) from going fully to sleep ?

And personally I think the 25.5V AC meter reading is the meter leading you up a blind alley. Otherwise there would be massive AC currents charging and discharging the battery. But I am open to other enlightened opinions.

That's a good question Mark. When I checked for a current drain on our Facelift I didn't need to worry about the bonnet switch as the previous owner had removed it.

I'd guess that it doesn't, but I have yet to try it. It took around 20 minutes for the car to go fully to sleep.

When I did mine, I put a weight on the bonnet switch and then locked the car.

I´m still looking what it can be, removing fuses to see which effect it has. I checked the battery, which is OK. I wonder if it can be related to the lots of rain we had here. The plenum is dry, no water standing there.
I checked the amperage again, but a brick on the bonnet switch, closed everything and I measured after waiting some time around 0.9 amp

900 miliamps is too high. It should be around 18 /20 miliamps.

But you probably knew that anyway :-)
