Hi mate, it's a bit fiddly and you have to find all the little hooks and where they attach to. With a bit of heaving, pulling and shoving it's not too bad really. I had a set of mk1 leather manual seats in my 75 and then bought a mk2 to break. This one had the electric memory seats which i was going to swap straight over. I discovered that the mk1 seats were not only in far better condition but were much higher quality. solution, mk1 seat covers on mk2 seat frames

Seat refurbishment
I've just assembled the parts to do the exact same changeover - i.e putting my existing Mk1 seat covers on to Mk2 electric frames. The Mk 1 seats have the plastic back board which also provides the rear facing pocket whereas the Mk 2 seats have no backboard and the pocket is incorporated into the seat squab cover. As far as I've so far been able to find out, there is no difference between Mk1 and Mk2 frames, so will the Mk1 covers fit OK on the Mk2 frames? Anything I should be aware of before starting to take them all apart?
