Pardon my ignorance, is there much difference between the topographies of Australia and NZ? For example, forestry/brush v. desert.

I’ve spent a good deal of time in both NZ and Australia. It’s only Tasmania that remotely resembles NZ. I’ve cycled across Gippsland and stayed at the campsite in Nowa Nowa before turning north to Buchan then up through the snowy river valley to Jinderbyne, then onwards to Canberra I’m afraid it’s a tragedy what’s unfolding with the bushfires, the flora and fauna will take years to recover.

Don't get any of this "climax change" on the porn channels. Winston Churchills favourite Scientificate Advisor told Winston that German science was not capable of producing V1's or V2's. So where did our garage doors go.? Chris.S.

Oh no, she's back!

https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...climate-crisis

The Midwich Cuckoo, as I’ve been calling her after the strange alien children in John Wyndham’s classic sci-fi novel, is easily the most frightening thing to come out of Scandinavia since Eric Bloodaxe, or possibly even ABBA!

I'm heartily fed up of her, hearing of her, seeing her, reading about her. I wish she would bog off back home, and stay there.

At least thanks to you chaps on this thread, I now have the wonderful image of a diesel engined gritter lorry, somewhere in Scotland, spewing out NoX and CO2 whenever her name comes up!

Following the Scandinavian theme, do the road gritting people have a ‘Grita Garbo’? Sorry, couldn’t resist it.

Thanks all!

What I am finding difficult to understand is the one time correlation between Earth mean temperature and the frequency of sun spots. At one time it was 'proven' with long term data that Earth temp increased whenever sun spots appeared but that well established belief is somehow no longer relevant.

I've just seen graphs showing a considerable declining occurrence of these spots over many years but it's studiously ignored by the evangelists. Odd, that.

Try: sidc.be/silso then select 'number of spotless days vs. Solar Cycle' in dropdown
(Royal Observatory of Belgium 2020 Jan). Seems a worthwhile source to be trusted by 'deniers'.

Default Facebook software glitch

Interesting - it seems that a software glitch has revealed that Greta Thunberg’s Facebook page far from being written by her as is made out, it is actually written by her Climate Activist Father and an Indian Delegate to the UN Climate Secretariat called Adarsh Pratrap.

So the poor girls really just a puppet of those with an agenda.

Sad.
