Default Closest to original wiper blades

The first wiper blades on the car had a big plastic aerofoil on them. When changing them I was dull enough to throw the aerofoil away.

My last couple of sets of blades have not come with the aerofoils and have been disappointing. What is the closest match to OE or do any manufacturers do blades with aerofoils on them still in the 21" 22" sizes ?

The best type now are the curved rubber ones. I fitted new ones 2 years ago and they work perfectly and DON'T judder or squeak.---

Yes, thanks, I see several people give them good reviews.

And arms - are Rimmers the only source of these now -£72 for the driver's side does seem somewhat explotative ?

I use Bosch . Excellent ! They do a matched pair for the 75 , with the aerofoil on the drivers side . About £24 from Halfords .
For the arms , have you looked at 2nd hand on ebay ?

The 'aero' style cuved blades are now very popular and IMO a much better design than the traditional multi- frame type. Like anything else, there are good and bad aerofoil blades and some look pretty awful when fitted. The nicest I think are those by Bosch, which have a lower profile arm coupling than many others. I got a pair from eBay and have been very happy with the results: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_o...er+75&_sacat=0
Mine are of equal length (22" as I recall).

I have used Bosch wiper blades (with aerofoil on the o/s blade) on both my 75 and ZT-T since I have owned them and I too am very pleased with their performance. I do however change them annually, but they only cost £7.00 each with works discount - can't stand streaky dirty windscreens.

The 'aerofoil' or wind foil, is an intergal part of the Bosch design. It's not the sort of clip on bit of the old style blades.

I've used the Bosch 'aero' style wiper for a while now, both on my current ZT and my previous one and have always been impressed with them. I've also got a set on my Volvo 740 but these do not seem as good - I can't remember what make these are though, although the windscreen could do with a good polish as it lives outside so has probably got a lot of road dirt ingrained on it.

Both of my ZTs have had 22" wipers both sides with no issues, so quite why some odd ones have 21" on the passenger side I have no idea

I keep a box of these in stock, one has the aerofoil.

I find they usually last about a year and as soon as they start to squeak or judder I already have some to fit.
