Kenwood krc 394 - auto reverse problem
I thought about changing the ICE for an all singing all dancing sat nav system, but chose to stay with the original Kenwood head unit and 6 stacker. Prefering to use a trusty old sat nav or google maps if necessary.
However, here comes the crunch - the tape (yes, I still have some of those) will only play side 'B' and when the tape spools to the end, the machine gets stuck in a turn over loop (auto reverse) and I have to eject it and physically turn the tape over to play the other side. Now I've taken the unit out, removed the tape playing element but cannot see any issues - belt good, no dry joints etc etc. Can anyone offer any advice? |

Well, it's about 15 to 20 years old. You might consider buying a new unit?
Or buy a second hand unit for around 20 GBP: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kenwood-K...r/274629570403 HTH
