I'm not the handbag type lol! Don't get me wrong, I don't regret it, I wish I had more spare cash - so much I want to do to them!

Our current CDT was purchased in Oct 2012 for £3k and I have spent just over £7k on the maintenance since then.

Here is my thread although it needs updating.

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=134788

The 1.8k was purchased in 2016 for £10k and about £5k has been spent on maintenance.

Unless you add back in the car cleaning products - in which case it's mega £££££££££££££££££££'s .

Thanks for the thread.

You'e both right, of course. I must admit, I was a little surprised at the cost when I added it up, but adding in the purchase price soon made me realise it's not that expensive. I bought my '75 when she was 3 yrs old with 19k miles for £8,250. That makes an all in price of £22901.41 over 12 yrs of ownership.

I priced up my car on the official MG Rover web site just after buying her (the site was still live at the time) and with all the extras, she came in at a fraction shy of £30K list price when new. That means I've had 12 years of free servicing and repairs, plus lots of free add-ons, and still saved some £7K aginst the list price . Billy bargain!

Had my R75 ten yrs.

Average annual spend = .9k
Highest yr spend = 1.3k 2013.
Lowest yr spend .5k 2011.
Bought lots of upgrades and accessories inc brochures.

I never seem to have much spare money, so keeping 4 MGR's on the road must be costing me a fortune each year. I don't really think of the cost too much tho as it gets us out about to meets, shows and other crazy stuff

That's it for me too. Now I've no family, I'm a bit of a loner, so the meets and Nanos etc get me meeting people and keep me sane lol! (Well, almost sane!)

I’ve never kept count of the 75 or R8 coupe as they just get what they need when they need it.The Mini Cooper S however that we’ve owned for the last 22ish years was circa 25k about 5 years ago when I stopped counting...

Again not including servicing probably around £500 and that's only if I include the water pump failure which should have been done 2 years ago at belt interval. Including servicing probably another £100 on top
So around £200 a year. It does need a bit of money spending but that depends on whether it passes its next mot.
