You shouldn't need to as the plastic cover of the scotch lock is the insulation.
Having said that it will do no harm to do so

Not for a while Rasa,
I have a lot of repairs in at work so not going to get a chance till next week to do that.
The answer is to place the aerial as high up as you can at the front or rear windows and to run the cables behind the cabin trim

Try cable tying it to the rest of the wiring harness

Default 2 photos of wires i have

wires 001.jpg

wires 002.jpg i also have a load of wires which do not connect to anything, 2 bunches of thre wires have white block connecters and another bonch have small black and one blue connectors on them they have been covered with some thin dark grey foam, what are they for, they go below and into the bulkhead as opposed to the radio loom which is above into bulkhead, this is getting very confusing now as in your howto you say the wires i need to connect to are in connecter blocks which are brown and black, my brown and black connectors do not have red or yellow, help

You have the iso connector in your hand.
I said the colours are usually brown and black
Yours are grey and orange coloured by the looks of your second photo.
Just chase the red, yellow and black wires coming from your head unit into the block in your hand and you will see which wire lines up with the car look wires

The other unconnected wires you have seen are part of the wiring looms for extras that your car could have been fitted with, for instance, cruise control, heated seats, rear electric blind etc!
None of these are of concern for wiring your head unit and freeview box.
