Got some Kashmiri red chilli powder off the bay to make a mild chilli recipe, They said it's way down the scoville scale around 1000 & mild, Yeah right! Just burnt the roof of my mouth off

LOL I shall only be using a miniscule amount of that in the recipe. It's been a good day today, Got my new specs & they're like night & day compared to my old ones.

Won an ebay auction for 4 brand new steel pie dishes for £1.26 Top tea wi that ham shank & I've got Fireball XL5 on the youtube.

Cool

I wonder how the NHS survives. Had my appointment with the quack.

Doctor, “Who put you on these tablets for your blood pressures?”
Me. “ You did back in March”.
Doctor. “Why I did I change your prescription?” He is reading from the computer screen.
Me. “The nurse said that my blood pressure was far to high, so you changed my prescription”
Doctor. “You need to stop taking these tablets immediately”.
Me. “Well I have already taken my tablet this morning”.
Doctor. “Well don’t take anymore. Take the remaining tablets to the chemist and ask them to destroy them. I’ll write you out another prescription and you will have to go to the hospital for tests. There is nothing wrong with your heart, your pulse is strong and your blood pressure is where it is supposed to be. Give it a week before you start taking your new tablets.
If you have another episode in between then phone 999 for an ambulance.
But I’m pretty sure it’s these tablets.”

Chicken n chips for tea.

Dunno if you spotted it but Fireball XL5 is on Talking Pictures TV on Saturday afternoon, immediately after The Outer Limits. I watched the first episode of Fireball XL5 . . . . God, I'd forgotten how bad it was

Bob, do you have a blood pressure monitor, if not I'd suggest you get one. They're not expensive and you can keep an eye on your blood pressure whenever you want.

Yes I do have one, and check the pressure every other day. After my episode it was all over the place. But the next day, and since, it’s been where it is supposed to be.
This is the second time in less than a year they have prescribed the wrong blood pressure tablets.
Doesn’t give you much confidence in the surgery.

Checked mine once and actually got a fright at the result. After I calmed down a bit . . . . I wonder . . . . I put new batteries in it and got the usual reading

At least your health should stay good now you’ve stopped the tablets Bob.
