Good morning Jeff, that’s great news your eyesight problem is not as bad as you had first feared. Losing our sight is something we are all frightened of. You said it is caused by diabetic retinopathy but I wonder what the trigger point was for the bleed and if there was one, can it be prevented from happening again.

The main thing now, is no rushing about whilst the healing process continues. A weight off your mind

I am up at this unfriendly hour to take 8 hourly pain medication and antibiotics. Still not able to turn on my side or bend the knee because the knee has swollen up after the operation. In time the bruising and swelling will be absorbed.

Take care …….

Bit of a waste of three hours really!!! He asked for the series of PSA blood tests results I'm supposed to have had since February. He said your GP should have set them up, I said it wasn't through lack of trying to arrange them by me, I spent hours on the phone being pushed from one dept to another aAt the end I had to go cap in hand to Christies to get them to send me a pink slip for blood tests

It is as though you have been pulled from pillar to post in your search for the holy grail the definitive PSA. My own GP practice refuses to do any pushing for private PSA testing. Priorities should be for the patients and not against them.

A busy week for you Ian. Sorry to see your still struggling at night

Cool

Morning everyone.

It’s a grey start to the day.

Hoping to contact a builder today. Blooming hard work to find one.

Morning Phil, morning all.

Keeping better control of blood sugar levels is the best way to prevent further bleeds/complications. My levels I had been in good control but it is so easy to lapse into old eating habits which I have been somewhat guilty of.

White bread is my guilty problem so I need to cut that down drastically as I know it spikes my levels badly. More protein, less carbs!

Keep up the good work with your recovery Phil.
At least getting up at silly a.m means you get to enjoy more of the day

Morning Bob, have none of your friends/neighbours got any builders they could recommend to you?

Far better than risking an unknown quantity !

Morning Phil, Thanks. The appointment yesterday with the urology doctor felt like a bit of a let down really, I mentioned everything that was bothering me & he said complete the input output sheet on exactly how much you drink & pee over a certain period & we'll see you in 12 months time . Everything seems to revolve around endless visits to the toilet day & night. Looks like I'll have to put up with it. That reminds me I need to get another measuring jug to record how much I pee in milliliters.

Expecting to feel cr@p in the next couple of days. Just had a Covid jab in my left arm, flu jab in the right. Left arm "uncomfortable" already and a headache developing

Cool

Got a builder coming along this evening, and has excellent reputation. Doesn’t advertise, just word of mouth. My next door neighbours ex-husband his his brother. So thanks Kelsey.
