Default Project - Relocate CD Player to Boot

I've managed to acquire the necessary brackets and mounts to move the CD changer from the glove box to the boot.

As the longer CD cable is rare as rocking horse poo, I plan to cut and lengthen the original lead. I've found a company that sells cable by the metre, so it's probably going to cost a couple of hours and a bit of solder.

I do have one question though. From the wiring diagram, I've identified the different colours but I'm struggling with the spec.

Three wires (which I'm assuming are power and control to the player)

B, 0.5D
PK, 0.75, D
WRY, 0.35 D

The figures represent the cross section area in mm sq, but what does the "D" denote ?

and 4 wires

KB, MARA
YB MARA
BK MARA
BY MARA

I'm assuming that the MARA spec cabling is audio spec cable, but I can't find a suitable alternative.

Has anyone got any thoughts on the most suitable aftermarket cable to use ?
