As for the virus here, it will be largely untreated, I'm afraid. And there are a lot of people with underlying conditions, so it is about to hit hard, I expect. However we have a lot of sunlight and high UV, that might be in our favour, and people here are not ready to just keel over and go home. But we will see. I feel sorry for all that are affected one way or the other, but this is life. A disease we all suffer from, life, and it is 100% deadly. Make the most while here, and have no regrets when moving on. We can control some things, but there are limits which we come up against. That is just how it is. My greatest comfort is that it spares the children. Fleeing Nairobi and getting into the bush is not going to help much I would think. They will revert when they run out of food and water. Your building project sounds like a dream coming true! I can just imagine how absolutely wonderful that will be. Enjoy the creation and all the anticipation that goes with it. A worthwhile task in your retirement. And if that can be done by whatsap, go for it!! We have only fear to fear. The rest we can fight.

Evil is surely walking the earth all the time but as you say this is a whole new level for modern times...and we are indeed simply pawns in a game...collatoral damage. |

Once you start lifting the carpet, you can't help noticing what has been swept under it. It is dangerous for your mental health, but good for your soul. You are about to be blown away. And why is this so? because most people simply can't make themselves believe what they see. Their mind goes limp at the prospect of having been manipulated their whole life, and simply refuses to believe what they physically see. Cognitive dissonance. I have found a nice talk for you. When you have time, listen to it, you will find it fascinating, I think. It explains why good people do nothing. https://kboo.fm/media/59805-why-good...orse-about-911 I can recommend many of these podcasts if you want to give it some thought. Good music, intelligent conversation, well produced. So?? Is it red or blue. Up to you

The way I see it, we either do nothing, carry on as normal, and let Corona run riot.
Me, and many of you no doubt, dead in the streets, dig a big hole, no problem! Whilst this is happening over say 6 months, all NHS functions collapse. No Ambulance to take little Johnny to hospital when he falls and breaks his leg, no bed when they eventually get him there. Or we do as we are told. We still all get it, but more level over a longer period of time, thus allowing the NHS to mend Johnny as well as tend to me. I don't mind being chucked in the hole myself, so either way for me. Johnny may think otherwise. I will say though that I never expected a Tory government to throw money at the problem in the way they say they will. Good luck to them, right or wrong. While I'm sure you believe the nonsense that is being whipped up into mass hysteria by the press, there are some who simply do not subscribe to the "terrifying" figures being touted. My only concern is will there be pieces of society big enough to be repaired once this lunacy has ended, or whether the architects of this "pandemic" will have achieved what they set out to do. There have been diseases for which there have been no cure in the past, and never in my lifetime has there been such panic measures employed......so what are we not being told is the question I simply hope society can survive this madness. I have sufficient toilet roll, but not an excessive amount.
I am aware the press is prone to exaggeration, but when every country in the World is reporting the same events, and independently taking similar actions, I find it hard to believe that they are all wrong. Keep your head down in the sand, it may blow over. Ever watched someone die with lung problems? It's not pretty. |

78000 people die each year in the UK alone as a result of smoking related illnesses, on the face of it a huge figure, however this is 0.12% of the population. What no one has yet calculated based upon the limited data available the effect this new upper respiratory tract illness will have upon the population, a mortality rate of one percent, ten percent, higher, lower ? It is of course entirely possible to project the figures based upon what we know now, or at least what we are being told now. There is only one thing in life which can be assured, and I believe we can as individuals calculate risk and assess whether or not that risk is acceptable to us personally, and act accordingly. Scaremongering by third parties is not helpful in allowing people to make informed decisions, nor are ill considered kneejerk reactions, what would be helpful here is to be told the facts, and not sugar coated lies about how the state is going to take care of us all Brian |
