The courier dropped this off, so I fitted it back in to its housing. Hopefully tomorrow will see it back on the car and running.

At that price I think I would have gone without to be honest. We would be using a nail on the back of the toilet door with newspaper on it. Well perhaps no nail involved. Robbery without the violence in my opinion.

Hi Steve. Missed that one. I have got a roll of that in the loft, I will have to get it down and the Mrs can get the scissors working. Have to be careful you don’t do any ‘popping ‘ .

Today I made it to the tyre shop and got the snow tyres off. I had them put the new spare wheel into service to make the wheel repainting job a little easier. While waiting for the tyre shop to finish I took a look through the auto supply shop next door and found that they had silver wheel paint. That made me happy as the place I had planned to get it at yesterday was out of silver although I did stock up on clearcoat and primer.
When I got home I gave the ZT a good wash only to find that the bootlid had stains from the road brine they were spraying over the winter. A light cut polish and waxing sorted that out and now I am looking forward to a nice rum and coke...or two.

Replaced the sump pan on the gearbox, so that got a fluid change as well.
Encouraging to see the fluid coming out wasn't black, and also to find a rusty stain on the inside of the old pan where it had rotted through.

Also new rear brake disks, pads and the first set of replacement handbrake shoes in the cars life!
Looks like I'll need a new wheel bearing at some point as its started to chew the ABS sensor, but the act of removing & refitting (to make getting at the handbrake shoes easier) seems to have sorted it for now.
