Finally managed to get the rebuilt turbo back on the ZT, much improved power wise but still making a strange sound, further investigation found a split inlet manifold.

Swapped it for a nice clean one and normal service has been resumed.

Probably the worst job on a diesel is to relocate the small plate that covers the three turbo to manifold bolts, my hands look like I have been fighting an angry cat!!!

Yep they can be a bit of a sharp blighter.

The Mitsubishi turbos are usually pretty bulletproof though Andy - what failed on your one?

Fitted my new plates (inc smiley) supplied by M17TT on here. Looks very good.

I decided to use tape on the front as well as the rear, since my front screws were rusty and the plastic covers had broken into pieces. I did buy some fresh ones, but it felt wrong to drill holes in the nice new plate! I wonder if the tape will hold? I will be fuming if they fall off one day...

Ahh the Turkish gridspoke.. Has to be the worst wheel for suffering corrosion out of all the range.

I'm real chuffed with myself. Today, the dreaded airbag warning light appeared.
Usually I would shout for help and advice, but thanks to the members advice here on the forum, and seeing Brian do his stuff in the past, I decided to investigate the fault myself.
A quick look under the drivers seat, making sure the connectors were tight etc, I looked at the instrument panel, Hey Presto, no warning light !!

Some may say it's an easy quick fix, but, for me the fact I fixed it myself ( without the usual frustration trying to fix a fault), was a real " thumbs up".

Put me in a good mood all day.

A quick round the block to test the new engine mounts. Smooth is the word! .... and clean with no more "Ooooooooze"!

just done a "service", oil, oil filter, pvc filter, cabin/pollen filter. Air filter was as new which was surprising.

Will order parts and do the other car asap

They usually are in my experience. It's almost not worth changing them.
