Random electrical faults
Getting loads of random electrical faults, Indicators staying flashing on the cluster even though there off, electric seat memory buttons not working, car not locking...all happening at once. Its a top spec ZT so have all the stuff in the boot. Water was half filling the boot so I drained it and fixed my light seals and all was fine for a few days but it's all happening again now. Any ideas?

Sounds like a K-Bus fault, and if you have had trouble with water in the boot well in the past then chances are that is still causing the problem.
Shut down the satnav and try unplugging it all and drying out the plugs and see if that helps. |

Are the plenum drains clear? No water in ECU?

Found a small black box in the boot which was full of water and the connectors green, all cleaned out and dry and all is fine. Anyone know what the box is? Snamm black box with a plug each side in the wheel well?

Can you be a little more precise Pete. There are so many things wrong with having a boot half full of water.
Your profile says ZT-T, you posted ZT, so I will go with -T Going by your profile you do not have a boot. Half full - the water would rush out when you opened the lid/tailgate By "the boot" if you are referring to the load space wheel well being half full, this could be possible, but measure the depth of water. By "it's all happening again" are you referring to wheel well "half full", and exactly the same electrical faults. Tell us what you did to remedy the light cluster seal leak, and how you know you do not still have water ingress. Your next task should be to diagnose if the water ingress is from both O/S and N/S, as there are several common water ingress points. If as you say your wheel well is "half full" after a few days, it should not take long to find ingress point/s. At the very top edge of your (dry) wheel well tape a strip of paper 1 o clock to 5 o clock, and 7 o clock to 11 o clock. You will need to strip out your load space floor and side trim, possibly the roof rail trims, and everyone's favourite, the Rear Header Finisher ERQ100650. Do you have a FBH, if so for how long, and has it been worked on.

Rear light on a Tourer or MGZT-T do not leak even if they did it would not go into the cargo area/ spare wheel well
