Discarded and forlorn yet plenty more life in her
I bought my 75 six years ago. Discarded and forlorn round the back of a used car lot and deemed 'not good enough to put on the forecourt' by the dealer I bought it unseen via ebay for £575 with 97,600m on the clock. I have just added my 70,000th mile to the total with zero 'during journey' breakdowns. There have been a few issues to sort (as can be seen in my signature below) but none of these have prevented a journey except for the overnight spring failure on my drive. More than a 115,000 miles since the only head gasket change and no current issues except for an IMG change that needs to be pencilled in (it eats them, this will be my 3rd). With a design life of only 10 years and 150,000 miles this car keeps on giving and hopefully will continue to do so for many years. It is also the only car I have access to so all my trips to the Lake District (460m round trip, 10 times in the last 18 months) are taken in her stride. She is loved but she has to work hard too.
Steve.
