Me too, I almost rang the scrapman today to uplift seven cars, and treat myself to a brand new car with a nice warranty

Fortunately a two hour window of opportunity in the weather opened allowing the final finishing touches to the tourer MOT prep.

It's booked in for 8.30 tomorrow, and I can't wait to see the back of this weather, regardless of the result of the test tomorrow, I'm going to have it retested in a couple of months time so at least it shouldn't be snowing when I'm lying on my back on the drive

I have four cars due in April, the Fiat 500 and tourer have been done but I’m tempted to leave the cooper S and coupe in storage until May! If ever you need an extra pair of hands of a weekend just let me know

Nobody cares of your car as you do.

Good thinking Mark, I try to spread them evenly throughout the year, but I think May or June sound good.

Thanks for the offer, if I ever get my workshop sorted (planning for the new door, and would you believe, it's in a conservation area ) we can have a beer and curry night/car frabble/more beer.......sounds like some sort of a plan

May and June are the best months in Cumbria, too. By August, it's raining again - something to do with having to top up the Lakes. And I don't even live in the Lake District!

I can't remember who the Rover dealer was in Penrith, was the undertaker John Richardson?

I for one have an issue with letting others work on my car - MOT time is bad enough

Only one i'm happy to leave my car with is Cossiedunc - I wouldn't trust any the other garages around here.

I also feel it's my responsibility to diagnose faults myself

saved myself a fortune already i'm sure - I've also learned a wee bit

Paul.
