Hi Phil.

Thanks for asking.

We're a bit thin on info at the moment but it looks like the op went well. .

There's some concern about her heart as she has a leaky valve and similarly her chest as she's picked up an infection but it seems that the IV antibiotics have knocked that out.

No visiting at the hospital and it's all done by phone which isn't ideal.

Obviously, M-in-L is very tired which is totally understandable.

Time will tell and fingers crossed.

Never had snow up my end, not something I like the sound of. Went from heavy snow to sleet then rain, lasted some 30 odd minutes, battering off the window.

Cool

Evening everyone

Well, I have finally mastered making my own bread. In fact I have nearly eaten this one, and it only came out of the machine at 18.00.

Cooked a nice chicken stir fry. And for dessert I made a celery, green apple, green pear and fresh ginger mess. Served with lemon juice. Bloomin’ ‘ansum. All part of my diet.

Chillin’ with a large glass of Shackleton whisky.

Morning John, what’s the story behind the photo?

Doves: we get red eye doves, ring necked doves and mourning doves visit us and the mourning doves like to frequent the family and animal cemetery within our small holding. We have not seen any white doves visit. As you know the white dove is a symbol of peace. Regardless which type they are, I find them fascinating to watch.

Do you talk to the doves you breed?

Andy, thank you for the update. Gosh your mother in law has really been through it and it’s frustrating you are only allowed contact over the phone. She is in the best place to get her through the post op complications, control post op pain and help her get back on her feet again. Jessica’s mum had a fall when she visited the UK at the age of 75, the hip was replaced at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. She made a good recovery and when she was 80 the other hip was replaced successfully.

A worrying time for you and your family. Hopefully your MIL will go on to make a full recovery.
