Default Help please zt cdti gearbox mount ?

Hey all got another problem with my motor it seems when under power i change gear and get a slight tug on the steering wheel i checked all engine mountings changed the dog leg but seems a bit of sloppy movement from the gearbox side when i hold gearbox and push it back and fore should there be much movement here any one think this could be my problem thanks hope someone can help

When you say that you changed the 'dog leg', do you mean this:

If so, was it a new or used item?

There is always a possibly I suppose that the N/S top gearbox mount has come loose but the main culprit is usually always the lower mount/tie in the link above.
If the O/S hydramount is gone, this will also allow movement of course.

Yes that is part i changed brand new although when i removed old part there was no damage to it
All the movement i have seems to be on gearbox side cheers

I would check the gearbox mount for wear (or maybe the mounting bolts have worked loose).

It bolts to the end of the gearbox & mounts to the N/S inner wing section.

Threads into the gearbox can strip out where the 4 bolts from the mount go into the top of the box. I had this on my car, probably due to over-enthusiastic use of a windy gun, or the box not being supported properly when the bolts are tightened. I had to helicoil them to fix it.
